Accommodation

Local directions:

Here is a map giving RPI's location within Troy. The Franklin Square Inn is at the junction of River and Fourth Streets, at the west end of Grand Street, and the Rensselaer Inn is on 6th Street, at the east end of Fulton Street. If you drive in from Latham along Route 7, turn right on 15th Street to get to campus. (Route 7 is just off the northern edge of the map.) The conference will take place in the Darrin Communications Center (DCC), which is west of 15th Street, between Sage and College Avenues. Here is a labeled map of campus and here is a high resolution campus map (23MB). Note the orientation of these campus maps: North is on the left. Parking is free in the North Lot on weekends; for weekdays it is $5 per day, with permits available from the Parking Office in the Public Safety building on 15th Street. The North Lot is behind North Hall, with entrances from Peoples Avenue and Sage Avenue.

Mention that you are attending the ICCOPT conference at RPI when making your reservation to ensure that you obtain the conference rate.

The Latham hotels are about six miles from the conference site. They are each about a mile from the Latham Circle and Latham Farms bus stops on two routes to RPI: routes 70 and 90 operated by CDTA. If you are staying at one of the hotels in Latham and don't have a car, we may be able to coordinate the sharing of taxis if you let Bridget know.

Dormitory rooms have been reserved on campus, at a rate of approximately $40 per night, in Barton Hall. Here is information on checking in to the dorms. For more information, contact Bridget Beelen. These rooms are now all full and no longer available.
